Start with a plan
Decide whether the goal is commissioning, troubleshooting, or routine quality checks. Define fixture settings, grid size, sensor height, and crop stage.
Control the geometry
Keep the sensor level unless testing angle response. Measure at canopy plane and repeat the same grid on each tier or bench.
Capture spectrum and totals
Record PPFD, key ratios, and spectral power distribution together. Totals help with DLI, while spectrum explains recipe quality.
Turn readings into action
Use measurements to adjust spacing, dimming, cleaning schedules, or recipe settings, and store notes so future teams understand what changed.
